Educational Pluralism and Democracy: How to Handle Indoctrination, Promote Exposure, and Rebuild America’s Schools is a new groundbreaking book by Dr. Ashley Berner that we highly recommend. She is the Director of the Institute for Education Policy at The Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Berner proposes a radical reimagining of both the structure and content that dominates U.S. K-12 education. She urges policymakers, school leaders, parents, and all citizens to understand the many advantages of educational pluralism, an internationally used model in which the government funds diverse types of schools that deliver a curated, high-quality curriculum.
