The Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has selected School Growth, a global education strategy company, to manage the design and development of a new preschool through twelfth grade campus in North Tampa. This new school is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2018, and, with the collaboration of Adventist Health System, will raise the bar for educational excellence for families throughout the surrounding communities.

Our unique genius includes connecting the dots between educators, community and business leaders, and philanthropists to achieve better results and an ROI that transforms schools, local economies, and families. Using a future-focused, goal-directed approach, we have the expertise to deliver on the mission and vision for this brand new school.Tampa_FL_Pasture_to_School.jpg

What is now over 43 acres of cow pasture will be transformed into one of the most advanced schools in the country.

Architecturally

This school will use a campus design provided by the world-class architects at Fielding Nair. Prakash Nair and his team have combined the best practices from their global school projects to produce a customized plan that blends with the natural beauty of the land. Wannemacher Jensen Architects of St. Petersburg will lead the implementation of this project.

Operationally

The “software” of the school (i.e., everything but the campus development and facilities) will be designed and implemented by School Growth’s team of experts. Utilizing a propriety methodology for school design, we will provide the plan for organizational governance, operational execution, and administrative leadership.

Academically

The learning design of this new school will use the best practices from pedagogical and brain research to deliver a holistic experience for each student. We will be working closely with the talented leadership team within the Department of Education from the Florida Conference to produce the curricular and co-curricular plans.

The vision for this new campus began back in 2012 when the Florida Conference in concert with Adventist Health Systems and Florida Hospital West Florida Region began to work with Tampa Bay area churches and schools to consider a new campus in the greater Tampa area. Finally that dream is becoming a reality!

Insights

Frank Runnels, Superintendent for Education in the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, said: “We are so blessed to be able to collaborate with School Growth to create such an advanced learning environment for faculty, parents and especially students. By combining the outstanding traditions of Seventh-day Adventist education with some of the most modern research on school design and management practices, this school will be a center of influence for educators in Tampa, throughout Florida, and across the country.”

“Our team is extremely excited about this new school because it will be a model for educational excellence, delivering a remarkable learning experience within a leadership and operational design that is highly efficient and productive,” said Scott Barron, Founder and CEO of School Growth. “We’re incorporating all of the best strategies we’ve collected and learned from remarkable schools across the globe to produce a sustainable model that will elevate the trajectory for hundreds of students each year.”
